The 1950s Flying Saucer Conventions At An Underground Rock House In California

In the Mojave Desert, nestled among the terrain of Landers, California, lies a unique relic of the 1950s UFO craze. An on-site research centre called– "The Integratron Center." For nearly 20 years it became the epicenter for UFO enthusiasts. This structure, constructed by George Van Tassel, served as the epicenter for a series of Flying Saucer Conventions.

During the 1950s, George Van Tassel emerged as a prominent figure in the UFO community. A self-proclaimed "contactee," Van Tassel claimed to have received extraterrestrial messages and blueprints for the construction of the Integratron. Built from locally sourced rocks and designed according to principles of sacred geometry, it became the venue for the Flying Saucer Conventions.

Enthusiasts and curious onlookers from across the country converged on the Integratron to participate in these gatherings.

Attendees shared stories of UFO sightings, debated the existence of extraterrestrial life, and listened to lectures on topics ranging from interstellar travel to metaphysical phenomena. The conventions provided a platform for believers to connect and network with like-minded individuals who shared their fascination with the unknown.

Beyond the discussions and debates, the Integratron itself was believed to possess unique properties. Van Tassel claimed that the structure was capable of harnessing cosmic energy and facilitating rejuvenation and time travel. While scientific evidence related to these claims has never surfaced, the Integratron continues to attract visitors intrigued by the unique architecture and reported mystical properties.

At its peak George Van Tassel went so far as to build his own restaurant on the site, a small airstrip, and an extra-terrestrial research centre which would host his annual Giant Rock Spacecraft Convention, attracting more than 11,000 people.
In February 1999, while having coffee with their wife, the witness saw a tall pitch black "ape" walking from south to north behind their home in Michigan. The creature was erect, but leaning slightly forward, and had long arms that swung loosely as it passed. The witness investigated the area but found no footprints, only frozen ground. Later that year, the witness heard strange sounds and saw movement while walking around their woods. They also received stories from others who had encountered similar sightings in the area. Overall, the environment was rolling, treed, and thick with several swamps, ponds, and lakes.
